58th Annual Festival

The ISU Contemporary Music Festival Committee is proud to announce the 58th Annual Contemporary Music Festival, scheduled for October 23-25, 2024. The festival will feature Grammy nominated American composer Shawn Okpebholo whose music has been hailed as "devastatingly beautiful" and "fresh and new and fearless" (Washington Post), "affecting" (New York Times), "lyrical, complex, singular" (The Guardian), "searing" (Chicago Tribune), "dreamy, sensual" (Boston Globe), and "powerful" (BBC Music Magazine). The featured guest performers for the festival will be Chicago-based guest chamber ensemble Picosa. Other guests will include winners of the Music Now Contest.
